Organic Architecture in India

I'm not sure I would live in this farmhouse near Mumbai, India, it seems more like an interesting place to stay as a rental. The designer, i.STUDIO, created an interesting mix of brick and rough stone that works on the exterior but less so for the interior.

I think that's what makes it feel like not a place to live for me, but a place to visit temporarily. I wonder how much of that is cultural upbringing?

Do the interior brick walls make it feel like "home" to you?

Stunning 3D Environments by JeeYoung Lee

Jeez, 3 weeks since my last post. I suck. I promise to try and post more frequently in 2014!

Today we shall explore the deeply cool creative environment building of artist JeeYoung Lee. I thought these were digital designs at first but they aren't. The artist actually creates these environments in his studio and then photographs them.

Somebody should create an exhibition space for him where people can walk in and experience these. Each room a different environment complete with lighting and sound effects. I'd go see that.

Can't get Evernote Web Clipper to work.

Have too many bookmarks already.

Want to "save" these tile links.

Artist Soo Sunny Park Swings for the Fences

A 50' roll of chain link fence is available at Home Depot. Just sayin'.

Glass pieces, not so hard to create. And if you have any experience with stained glass, the possibilities are endless.

As I was watching the video for this gorgeous sculpture installation by Soo Sunny Park, I was experiencing that familiar "oooooh, I could do something like this in the back yard...."  And now I have ideas.

Lots and lots of ideas.

How about you?

Wire Lamps by Forestier Paris

In my quest to leave no gorgeous lighting fixture unblogged, I present to you the Fil de Fer lamp collection by Forestier Paris.

At first I liked the table lamps better, then I decided I liked the pendant fixtures. Of the table lamps, my eye is drawn to the curvy model, but the more angular shapes look better hanging.

Maybe I need them all?

Skilken House, Bart Prince - Architect

A 75' pool.

In the living space.

You have no idea how much that rocks my world.

How I have been compiling this blog for YEARS now and not discovered Bart Prince, is one of those mysteries that I have no answer for. I'm not so wild about all the stairs involved here (aging knees have made me allergic to steps) but how gorgeous is this home in Columbus, Ohio?
